Restoration & Printing

Photo Restoration And Reprinting.

Frame Place digitally restores old and damaged photographs: fading, tears, creases, and stains. After restoration we reprint the photograph in house at the size you want, and can frame the finished print in the same visit.

Photo Restoration at Frame Place Miami

Some photos exist in exactly one copy: the wedding portrait from another country, the only picture of a grandparent, the print that survived a move but not intact. Restoration is how that one copy becomes safe to display and share.

The original never gets altered. We work from a scan, repair the image digitally, and print the restored version. Families often order more than one print, because a restored photo tends to be wanted by everyone who sees it.

Good To Know

How Does Photo Restoration Work?

Three steps. First, the original is scanned at high resolution; the physical photo is never worked on directly. Second, the damage is repaired digitally: fading rebalanced, tears and creases rebuilt, stains removed. Third, the restored image is printed in house at whatever size you choose, from a match of the original to a large enlargement.

You get the untouched original back along with the restored print. Nothing about the process risks the photo you brought in.

What Damage Can Be Fixed, Honestly?

Fading, discoloration, creases, tears, water spots, and missing corners are all routinely repairable. The hard cases are faces obscured by heavy damage, where rebuilding means informed reconstruction rather than recovery.

We will tell you which category your photo is in before you commit. Most photos people assume are hopeless are not.

How Much Does Photo Restoration Cost?

The amount of damage sets the effort, and the effort sets the price. A light fade correction is a small job; rebuilding a torn, stained portrait is a bigger one. Bring the photo in and we will look at it together and quote it on the spot, free.

Questions, Answered

Common Questions

Will My Original Photo Be Damaged?

No. We scan the original and do all restoration work digitally, so the photo you bring in leaves the shop exactly as it came.

Can You Reprint The Restored Photo?

Yes. Reprinting is the second half of the job: we print the restored image in house at the size you choose, and can frame it as well.

Can You Make Copies For The Whole Family?

Yes, and most families do. Once the image is restored, additional prints at any size are simple, and everyone who sees the photo tends to want one.

Can You Restore A Torn Or Water-Damaged Photo?

Usually, yes. Tears, creases, and water marks are the standard cases restoration handles. Bring it in and we will give you an honest read before any work starts.

Can You Enlarge An Old Small Photo?

Yes. Restoration and enlargement pair naturally: the image is repaired first, then printed larger than the original, within what the photo's detail honestly supports.

How Long Does Restoration Take?

It depends on the damage. Light work can land near the shop's 3 business day average; heavy reconstruction takes longer, and we will estimate it when we see the photo.
